Wow, it's been awhile.

Coming to the school library to do my homework was the worst idea I've ever had.
I completely forgot about Kennedy being the home of the most obnoxious teenagers in the world. They don't have any clue what the words "Quiet in the library!" mean. My gosh.
Then there was some kid in here with a giant ego who was trying to one up some other kid by over powering his ethnic music with the sounds of Slipknot. Oh God. Oh, and it didn't stop there. He then went on a tangent about religion and how this kid was wrong for believing in God.
"Satanism!" he screamed."How do you know there's a God? Do you have proof?" he said. "No." "Then there is no God!" That's funny. If there is no God, because there is no proof. Then who's Satan? How can you be satanic?

Alright, someone please explain this to me. First there was Crocs, which was baaaad. Now there's armwarmers? I don't understand... Are they so you can match your leg warmers, a mini sweater, or are they really useful? Leg warmers I understand. I'm digging Normandale so far, but I'm really not have luck with teachers.
The first day of classes my first hour teacher was late by 10 minutes while I was early my 30. So I spent 40 minutes sitting.
Today wasn't very fabulous. My Macro teacher was late by a half hour!
Ugh...

They were removed from my face yesterday. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. They had me all hooked up to machines, which was awkward. Then they gave me the lovely laughing gas! What a miracle that stuff is. I was really hoping the stuff would kick in before they shoved the IV in, but no. That was probably the worst part for me. I felt very violated. And when they were screaming at each other for more cold spray and making the whole thing sound like they messed up, that was no fun either. That was very creepy... The last thing I remember was them shoving a brick in my mouth to keep it open. It was also pretty creepy when I was waking up and they were still doing stitches. That scared me a little. Besides that, it went well! Better than I thought!
Once I got home Robbie called and came over. We watched the O.C.. Then Julian eventually came over and then Robbie was back again. It was fun.
Life is good!

The O.C. is my life right now. I'm not even half way through the first season and I'm already sucked in.
Seth Cohen kind of pissed me off in this last episode. The two girl thing was the dumbest thing I've ever seen him do. AH! What was he thinking!? He's kind of cute, too. I think I might just be developing a crush. Sh... Don't tell Julian... *sigh* It would be so much nicer if I had someone to talk to about the show. Anyone? Watch with me maybe?

Reading about 35W in the City Pages is pissing me off and freaking me out. The entire Blotter section is dedicated to it and after reading it, I feel very confident about driving on my Minnesota bridges! According to the articles there are bridges in MN that scored far lower on inspection, low 20's and 30's, than the 35W bridge scored, even 50 out of 100%. Ugh.
I'm sorry, but it's a dumb idea not to raise the gas tax. If our roads and bridges are in such terrible condition, I wouldn't mind paying a little more money for gas if that means I'll get to my destination safely. I'm the one using the roads anyway. I'm pretty excited about this new job. They feed me a free meal every shift (going to be American "super sized" by the end of the summer). Mmmmm.... My uniform is all black (Aly would fit in well). People actually converse with each other. And it's in the middle of Southdale! Yay!
ATTENTION:
In case you were wondering about books for Normandale!!!!
On August 20-24 us PSEO kids are supposed to go to the Normandale bookstore where they'll have "Lion's Paw" people. You're supposed to give them your schedule and picture ID and they'll bring you to the loading dock where you pick up your books. DON'T ORDER THEM PEOPLE!

I had an interview at California Pizza Kitchen this morning. I got the job!!! I'm going to be a hostess, so everyone should come visit me after I've worked there for awhile. You guys should apply there too. I really don't want to not know anyone again... It's so annoying and awkward...

12:10 am - Three words: Oh my gosh...

Today was an adventure. Julian and I went to see the 35W bridge. Three words: Oh my gosh... It was unbelievable. Getting within gawking distance was really difficult, but I saw what I needed to see and probably all I wanted to see. I saw where the bridge buckled, I saw cars piled back-to-back where it had buckled, I saw the drop off. I saw almost everything. I couldn't see the river, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have been able to handle that. I don't understand how something like this could happen. It's probably going to take a good long while before they really know what happened and how it happened, so I shouldn't jump to conclusions of any sort. There's probably more than one element that will explain the buckle.
